Dispute Resolution Partner, Martyn Bailey and Legal Director Frania Cooper have recently secured readmission to Wirral Golf Club for golf-playing client, Lesley Brett in an out of court settlement. This is the latest in a number of such claims against golf and other clubs, including Martyn Bailey’s publicly reported success in 2019 for another client who had been wrongly expelled from the prestigious Sunningdale Golf Club and was reinstated and received damages following a trial.

Martyn commented: “We are continuing to see a growing trend in individual members of golf, tennis, sports and other private members’ clubs taking legal action to be readmitted to clubs from which they have been wrongly expelled. We encourage anyone in a similar situation to contact us given our proven track record of obtaining readmission for such members.”
