Lee & Thompson has advised Ringside Media on its latest expansion deal by taking a minority stake in Joi Productions, a film and TV company set up by former BAFTA breakthrough nominee Joy Gharoro-Akpojoto.

Joi Productions will focus on developing content that tells stories which are black, queer and female-led.

This is the latest in a string of acquisitions that our Corporate team advised on for Ringside Media, the investment arm of production company Ringside Studios founded by UK producer Gub Neal and TF1-owned French production and distribution group, Newen.
