Lee & Thompson Promotes Two to Partnership

Lee & Thompson LLP is delighted to announce the promotion of Michael Lucas and Alastair Mavor to Partner, effective from 1 April 2025.

Michael Lucas is a key member of the firm’s Music team.

Michael joined Lee & Thompson in 2015 and is the first person in the firm to progress from Paralegal to Partner. Michael is highly regarded for the innovative thinking he brings to his practice and has established himself as a leading light in the burgeoning music legal scene. He now represents some of the most exciting and award-winning artists, songwriters and producers.

Alastair Mavor is an integral member of the firm’s Film & TV team.  

Alastair joined the firm in early 2018. He plays a pivotal role in the Film & TV team advising leading production companies, financiers and creative talent on development, production, financing and distribution of film and television. Alastair has a particular specialism in talent driven deals and in his spare time has produced three short films which have featured in internationally renowned festivals and has acted in a number of professional productions including at the Theatre Royal Bath and Hampstead Theatre.

The promotion of Michael and Alastair boost the total number of Partners at Lee & Thompson to 33.

Lee & Thompson also promoted Damian McParland (Film & TV) to Legal Director. Damian joined the firm in 2019 from the Wellcome Trust where he led Wellcome’s entertainment and media projects.

Lee & Thompson has long been at the forefront of media and entertainment law, and these promotions reinforce the firm’s dedication to investing in talent and  ensuring that our clients receive best-in-class legal support.

The firm has also promoted several other team members to Senior Associate: Sarah Cundall (Film & TV), Sophie Anim (Litigation), Janey Hurran (Film & TV), Chloe Hutchings (Film & TV), Josh Jacobson (Film & TV) and Sean Kia (Film & TV) will become Senior Associates.
