Lee & Thompson is delighted to have advised Eagle Eye Drama, the independent scripted production company behind Professor T, Hotel Portofino and The Couple Next Door, on its sale of a majority stake to ITV Studios.

The acquisition will facilitate the next phase of Eagle Eye’s growth trajectory. Advising on the deal from our Corporate Team were Partner, Malcolm Murray, Partner, Lucy Strauss and Associate, Aarti Shah. As ITV Studios managing director Julian Bellamy welcomed Eagle Eye to the business, he commented: “Walter, Jo and Jason have built a really impressive scripted business. Disruptive, innovative and international, Eagle Eye has carved out a real point of difference in the market”. As part of the deal, ITV Studios also acquired a majority stake in production services company Happy Duck, which is led by producer and director Dries Vos, which services Eagle Eye’s global slate.
