The Awards season came to a close on Sunday night with Oscar glory for The Zone of Interest, produced by the firm’s longstanding client, James Wilson and Executive Produced by our own Reno Antoniades. As well as winning multiple awards including three BAFTAs, the film has made history as the first British film ever to win Best International Film at the Academy Awards.

Reno also executive produced Jonathan Glazer’s 2013 cult classic Under the Skin. On The Zone of Interest, Reno boarded the project in 2017 at script stage and has worked closely with Jim and director, Jonathan Glazer, to pull the finance together and get the film into production. Lee & Thompson also handled all of the production legals – including the official UK/Polish co-production and the financier closing with the US, UK and international financiers – led by Film & TV Partner Antony Swiatek and supported by Senior Associate Luke Carey.
