María Almánzar Dihmes - Paralegal, Film & TV

María is a Paralegal in our Film & TV department where she assists producers, sales agents, distributors and financiers on production-related matters. She joined Lee & Thompson in 2024 shortly after completing our Vacation Scheme.  

Originally a qualified lawyer in the Dominican Republic, María has advised in the management of IP, working across the portfolios of major streaming companies in Caribbean and Latin American markets.  

Previously, she has also collaborated with numerous media and entertainment production companies, scouting locations and negotiating T&Cs to ensure the smooth-running of the productions. 

María read Law at Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and subsequently completed an MA at the University of Derby. 

María enjoys learning languages, cycling and music photography.
