Milena Velikova - Trade Mark Attorney, Dispute Resolution

Milena is a Trade Mark Attorney in Lee & Thompson’s Dispute Resolution department. She advises clients on various aspects of trade mark law, including brand clearance for use in the marketplace or registration at the IP offices, national and multi-jurisdictional trade mark filing strategies, as well as dispute resolution, if that arises.

A Chartered Trade Mark Attorney, Milena joined Lee & Thompson in 2022 with over five years of specialist experience in trade mark law and related IP rights from both boutique and international law firms. In addition to her experience in advising clients within the film, television and entertainment sectors, Milena also has a background in advising beyond the creative sectors, including food and beverage, retail and sustainability.

After Milena studied Law and European Legal Studies in University of Aberdeen, she then completed her Masters in Intellectual Property Law and a postgraduate certificate in Trade Mark Law both from Queen Mary University of London. Milena went on to gain a professional certificate in Trade Mark Practice from Nottingham Law School.

Outside of work, Milena volunteers for the IP Pro-Bono Scheme and writes articles for the CITMA Review. She also enjoys watching films and pursuing crafts, such as pottery and knitting.
