Sam Shields - Trainee

Sam is a Trainee Solicitor at Lee & Thompson and assists across a broad range of matters spanning the creative industries. Sam joined Lee & Thompson in 2023 as a paralegal within the Film & TV department where he assisted financiers, producers, sales agents and distributors on production-related matters.

Sam read History & Philosophy of Science at the University of Leeds, where he contributed to its Film Society and attended film festivals in the region. Sam went on to study the GDL at the University of Law whilst advising in a voluntary capacity for the Citizens Advice Bureau.  He then completed the LPC with a Masters in Law, Business & Management, achieving a distinction.

Sam brings transactional experience from his role as a Legal Assistant at a large regional law firm.
