Tim Fowler - Partner, Music

Tim joined Lee & Thompson in 2013 and has been a Partner in the firm’s Music Group since 2021.

Named as a “Next Generation Partner” in the 2024 edition of The Legal 500 and as one of the world’s “Top Music Lawyers 2024” by Billboard, Tim is highly regarded by clients operating within the music and wider entertainment industries.

Tim enjoys a varied practice, having gained significant experience in advising record labels, music publishers, commissioning agents and management companies on their legal and business affairs. He has developed a particular specialism in music catalogue deals, representing on both the buyer and the seller sides. Tim further maintains a strong talent practice, acting for established and emerging artists, songwriters and producers on all elements of their careers, including advising on recording, distribution, publishing, management, neighbouring rights, merchandise, branding and touring arrangements. Tim has also been asked by production companies to advise contestants participating on a number of music television shows and is further active in the podcasting industry, representing leading podcast hosts and their productions companies.

Tim is actively involved with the Music Managers Forum and participated in the UK Government working group on fostering greater transparency within the music industry.
